Job Summary
To support accurate financial reporting, the full-time Reserving Actuarial Analyst will evaluate and monitor loss reserves across multiple lines of business, utilizing technical reserving expertise and business insights while collaborating with finance, claims, and underwriting teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform quarterly reserve analyses and profit share analyses to ensure accurate booked reserves
- Extract and analyze large datasets to build and maintain reserving exhibits and monitoring dashboards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify emerging loss trends and assess their impact on reserves
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of P&C actuarial experience, with a focus on reserving
- Progress toward ACAS/FCAS through successful completion of multiple actuarial exams
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field
- Strong Excel skills for building and maintaining actuarial models and analyses
- Experience with large datasets and familiarity with SQL, R, or Python for data manipulation and analysis
