Job Summary
Providing exceptional customer service, the full-time Resident Property & Casualty Underwriter will manage risk assessment and pricing for lower complexity risks, respond to inquiries from policyholders and agents, and contribute to business growth while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Quote, accept, decline, and modify lower complexity risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines
- Respond to incoming calls and inquiries from policyholders and agents, providing insurance counseling and making necessary policy adjustments
- Generate premium growth through direct marketing, upselling, and managing a profitable book of business
Required qualifications
- Obtain and maintain Resident Property & Casualty Producer license
- 2+ years of insurance-related experience preferred
- College degree preferred
- Proficiency in automated underwriting and desktop tools
- Experience with insurance-related coursework is a plus
