Job Summary
Recognized as a subject matter expert in appraisal, the remote Residential Appraisal Underwriter will review and underwrite residential real estate appraisals, ensuring compliance with various guidelines while maintaining appraisal quality and valuation integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Review and underwrite residential appraisals for compliance with investor and regulatory requirements
- Analyze appraisal reports for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry standards
- Identify and address valuation concerns and appraisal deficiencies while collaborating with appraisal management companies and internal teams
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential mortgage appraisal review or related fields
- Advanced knowledge of residential appraisal methodology and industry standards
- Strong understanding of USPAP requirements and appraisal regulatory compliance
- Experience with complex appraisal reports, including various property types
- Proficiency with appraisal review technology and collateral underwriting systems
