Job Summary
Building and managing relationships with residential distributed energy resource partners, the full-time Residential Business Development Director will focus on expanding Voltus' virtual power plant network across North America through partnership development and program management in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage new relationships with residential DER partners, engaging with key executives across various organizations
- Deepen existing partnerships and collaborate to launch new programs in additional territories and with new asset types
- Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation, program launch, and ongoing account management
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales within the energy industry
- Experience with residential DER OEMs, DERMS, VPP platforms, or demand response companies is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with wholesale electricity markets and demand response programs
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work closely with internal teams on proposals and programs
