Job Summary

Managing the underwriting team remotely, the full-time Underwriting Manager will oversee daily operations, drive productivity and accuracy, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance the underwriting process while ensuring adherence to guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of the underwriting team, focusing on productivity, accuracy, and service quality
• Evaluate applicant information against underwriting criteria and make investment recommendations
• Coach and develop underwriters to enhance performance in pipeline management and quality

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in residential finance
• 2+ years of experience managing a production-based team
• Extraordinary attention to detail with strong proofreading skills
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in business, finance, or a related field
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in nuanced situations
