Restaurant Bookkeeper

Job Summary

Seeking a founding Restaurant Bookkeeper, this full-time remote position will manage end-to-end bookkeeping for pilot restaurant clients, serve as an expert in restaurant-specific accounting, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape service offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of pilot restaurant customers, including chart of accounts setup and monthly close
• Serve as the in-house expert on restaurant-specific accounting, including prime cost and multi-location consolidation
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate client workflows into product requirements and build foundational processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, specifically with restaurant or hospitality clients
• Deep knowledge of restaurant accounting mechanics, including COGS and tip reporting
• Fluency with modern bookkeeping and accounting software
• Experience building processes or practices from scratch
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to define roles and processes
