Restaurant Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time, remote Restaurant Controller, this role will manage the full accounting cycle, financial reporting, and inventory oversight for a portfolio of restaurant companies while partnering with leadership to drive financial clarity and operational optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to restaurant business presidents, providing tailored financial insights and recommendations
• Lead full-cycle accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, GL, and inventory accounting, while managing month-end and year-end closes
• Identify and implement process improvements across accounting systems and inventory management practices

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting role, with proven experience in restaurant accounting
• Background in small to medium-sized businesses; fractional or outsourced accounting experience a plus
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, POS systems, and Excel
• Working knowledge of US GAAP
