Job Summary
Responsible for tracking and evaluating conservation and restoration projects, the full-time remote Restoration Monitoring Specialist will collect, analyze, and report on monitoring data to ensure ecological and programmatic goals are met.
Key responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze monitoring data from various restoration sites using established protocols
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and summaries to communicate findings and support adaptive management decisions
- Collaborate with conservation staff and stakeholders to refine monitoring approaches and contribute to continuous improvement in restoration practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, natural resource management, or a related field preferred
- Experience with data management tools, spreadsheets, and basic statistical analysis; familiarity with GIS or mapping tools is an advantage
- Ability to manage and operate system monitoring tools and data platforms related to restoration projects
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting ecological and operational data and identifying trends
- Effective communication skills to convey technical information clearly in written reports and presentations
