Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Return-to-Work Specialist will manage the return-to-work efforts for claimants by negotiating with clients, treatment providers, and employers while determining appropriate work restrictions and facilitating job placements.
Key responsibilities
- Determine objective, medically supported work restrictions for assigned claims
- Facilitate return-to-work efforts through negotiation and documentation, assisting case management staff with client competence decisions
- Contact employers to gather information regarding job requirements and assist in job site modifications as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) designation preferred
- Experience in medical/clinical or rehabilitation settings
- Knowledge of medical, legal, and accreditation standards related to return-to-work processes
- Ability to document and report findings in compliance with organizational standards
