Job Summary
Managing the return-to-work process for various leave types, the full-time Return-to-Work Specialist will oversee accommodations for employees recovering from both occupational and non-occupational conditions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer return-to-work processes for workers' compensation, FMLA, ADA, and other medical leaves, including identifying temporary assignments and tracking restrictions
- Facilitate the ADA interactive process by evaluating accommodation requests and coordinating with managers to maintain thorough documentation
- Serve as the primary coordination point among employees, managers, and third-party administrators to align medical restrictions and available duties
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, disability management, rehabilitation, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of experience in leave administration, workers' compensation, or return-to-work coordination
- Working knowledge of ADA, FMLA, and workers' compensation principles across all leave types
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential medical information in accordance with HIPAA and ADA requirements
- Strong written communication and documentation skills with a proven track record of maintaining clear records
