Job Summary
To facilitate successful return-to-work efforts, the full-time Return-to-Work Specialist will apply medical and rehabilitation knowledge while working remotely to negotiate accommodations and monitor the progress of claimants.
Key responsibilities:
- Determine medically supported work restrictions for assigned claims and facilitate return-to-work efforts through negotiation with clients and treatment providers
- Contact employers to gather job site information and assess physical tolerances and vocational skills required for specific positions
- Maintain regular contact with clients post-placement to monitor progress and suggest modifications to rehabilitation plans as needed
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) designation preferred
- Experience in medical or clinical settings related to rehabilitation
- Knowledge of vocational evaluation and job placement processes
- Understanding of medical, legal, and accreditation standards relevant to return-to-work practices
