Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Managing the end-to-end revenue recognition process, the full-time Revenue Accountant will ensure compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP while preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate revenue records in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to determine revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to subscription and professional services revenue
• Maintain and reconcile the deferred revenue schedule and support financial close processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing
• 2-4 years of accounting experience with direct experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business strongly preferred
• Proficiency with ERP and billing systems; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms preferred
