Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Managing the end-to-end revenue recognition process, the full-time Revenue Accountant will ensure compliance with ASC 606 and US GAAP while preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting audit requirements in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to subscription and professional services revenue
• Maintain and reconcile the deferred revenue schedule, ensuring accuracy of financial records

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification
• Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience with direct experience in revenue recognition under ASC 606
• SaaS or subscription-based business experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with ERP and billing systems, with experience in NetSuite or similar platforms preferred
