Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

As a hands-on process owner for ASC 606 Revenue, the full-time remote Revenue Accountant will manage balance sheet account management, commission cost accounting, and inventory accounting while supporting professional services and collaborating with various departments to drive system and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Review agreements to determine correct revenue treatment under ASC 606 and implement corrective actions for billing and revenue recognition issues
• Assist in the month-end close process and prepare revenue-related account reconciliations
• Document and implement revenue accounting processes and internal controls while collaborating cross-functionally to address billing concerns and process inefficiencies

Required qualifications

• BS in Accounting
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex revenue transactions and resolve billing and revenue recognition issues
• Experience working in a complex ERP system, with Sage Intacct strongly preferred
• Working experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
• Efficient with Microsoft Excel
