Revenue Accountant

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time salaried Revenue Accountant will manage the revenue cycle, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition and prepare revenue-related journal entries during the month-end close process
• Generate monthly revenue reports, investigate discrepancies, and perform analytical reviews of revenue trends
• Identify bottlenecks in the order-to-cash process and support audit activities by serving as a primary contact for external auditors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience with a focus on revenue recognition, preferably in the SaaS or digital services industry
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 standards
• Proficiency with advanced Excel functions and experience with enterprise accounting software and billing systems
• CPA or path to CPA is strongly preferred
