Revenue and Margin Accountant
Job Summary
Supporting the existing team, the temporary Revenue and Margin Accountant will work remotely from Canada, focusing on month-end close processes, preparing journal entries, and analyzing financial data to enhance business decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries for revenue recognition and direct costs, ensuring accurate month-end close
- Analyze GL account data and prepare variance analysis on key revenue and cost accounts
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide timely financial data and support intercompany transactions for month-end eliminations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor of Commerce Degree or Diploma in Accounting
- 1-3 years of work experience in an accounting-related position
- Intermediate to advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of SAP or another major general ledger accounting system is preferred
