Revenue Authorization Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Revenue Authorization Specialist will manage the authorization and pre-certification process for cardiology and neurology services, ensuring successful insurance verification and follow-up on medical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assists offices in resolving billing discrepancies and referral/authorization issues
• Contacts insurance companies to obtain pre-certifications and authorizations, including urgent requests
• Verifies procedural and diagnostic codes and ensures accurate insurance verification

Required qualifications

• High school diploma required
• 1 to 3 years of experience with insurance referrals, prior authorizations, or equivalent knowledge of the revenue cycle
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures relevant to the role
