Revenue Cycle Financial Representative

Job Summary

To support financial operations, the full-time Revenue Cycle Financial Representative will perform complex pre-service financial counseling, handle patient inquiries, and manage payment plans remotely while ensuring accurate billing and collections processes.

Key responsibilities

• Create hospital and physician estimates, review eligibility, and secure payment at the time of service
• Provide financial assistance screening, monitor Medicaid approvals, and address patient billing inquiries through various channels
• Collaborate with clinical areas for estimate template creation, train staff on usage, and track collection accuracy

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in hospital or physician insurance-related activities
• Advanced knowledge of insurance billing, collections, and terminology
• Intermediate understanding of CPT and ICD-9 codes
• Familiarity with UB-04 and HCFA-1500 forms and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) interpretation
