Revenue Cycle Financial Specialist

Job Summary

To support a world-class academic healthcare system, the full-time Revenue Cycle Financial Specialist will manage patient registration, verify insurance information, and assist patients with financial processes in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and verify demographic, guarantor, and insurance information from patients, ensuring preauthorizations and referrals are completed as required
• Collaborate with clinical staff and assist patients in securing reimbursement for services while providing guidance on insurance coverage and financial assistance options
• Document necessary authorization information for clean billing and payment, while maintaining knowledge of hospital revenue cycle processes and regulations

Required qualifications

• Two years of experience in medical insurance verification and hospital finance areas, including hospital billing
• Proficiency in using Windows-based PC systems
• Strong analytical and financial assessment abilities, with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing environment
• Knowledge of accounting principles and excellent verbal, math, and presentation skills
