Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a part-time basis, the Revenue Cycle Specialist will process, review, and file insurance claims while assisting patients with billing inquiries and collecting patient balances.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform various functions in processing insurance billing and collections, including Medicaid/Medicare claims
• Review, verify, and submit insurance claims, ensuring timely payment from insurance companies
• Respond to patient requests and maintain supporting billing information for future reference or audits

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of insurance accounts receivable and post-claim follow-up experience
• Preferred experience in physician claim billing
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the insurance industry
• Proficient in using computer programs and applications
