Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

To support the revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage the submission of insurance claims, follow up on denials, and ensure accurate posting of payments while maintaining acceptable aging levels for accounts receivable.

Key responsibilities

• Submit and manage insurance claims, including responses to denials and re-bills
• Conduct follow-up and collections, resolving discrepancies with internal and external departments
• Research and analyze patient accounts to ensure clean claim submissions and timely payment postings

Required qualifications

• High School Degree
• Two years of experience in hospital or physician insurance-related activities (Authorization, Billing, Follow-Up, Call-Center, or Collections)
• Basic understanding of health insurance plans, policies, and procedures
• Ability to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
• Experience with Document Management systems for handling correspondence
