Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

Managing accounts receivable processes, the full-time Revenue Cycle Specialist will ensure accurate and timely claims processing, address correspondence from physician practices, and resolve claim denials while collaborating with internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable management, analyzing aged AR and suggesting improvements to prevent errors
• Investigate and appeal insurance claim denials, including direct communication with payer representatives
• Collaborate with internal teams and practice consultants to optimize revenue cycle functionality and achieve departmental KPIs

Required qualifications

• High School Graduate
• 3+ years of experience in a medical billing office or equivalent claims experience
• Proficient in athenaHealth and/or athenaOne
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Understanding of revenue cycle performance drivers and ability to resolve complex claims
