Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing telehealth practice, the contract Revenue Cycle Specialist will manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including patient billing inquiries, claims resolution, and accounts receivable management, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Respond to patient billing and insurance inquiries, educating patients on healthcare billing concepts and managing payment arrangements
• Work on claims hold and denial queues, coordinating with payers and clinical teams to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate claim submissions
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the Patient Experience team, identifying process improvements and supporting special projects related to claims and patient support

Required qualifications:

• 2-3+ years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle operations, preferably in a telehealth environment
• Hands-on experience using billing platforms such as Athena, including claims troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies and coding guidelines (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS)
• Experience managing patient and insurance accounts receivable
• Ability to work remotely in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
