Revenue Recovery Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Revenue Recovery Specialist to investigate and resolve insurance denials and underpayments for patient billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve 25-30 accounts daily that have been improperly denied or underpaid by insurance carriers
• Monitor and report on denial and appeals trends, recommending process improvements
• Contact insurance providers to resolve identified denials and underpayments, ensuring compliance with guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Hospital Billing, Insurance follow-up, or Denial resolution, with at least 3 years in a hospital patient accounts department
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and online meeting platforms
• Intermediate knowledge of hospital billing, revenue cycle processes, and medical terminology
• Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding required
