RHEL 10 Consultant
Job Summary
To support low latency, high frequency network trading, the contract RH Enterprise Linux 10 (RHEL) Consultant will work remotely to configure and optimize network settings, manage package installations, and tune system parameters for performance improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Configure 'tuned' for low latency and optimize network card settings using tools like ethtool
- Monitor and adjust sysctl variables to enhance network performance and minimize packet retransmits
- Utilize 'tc' for traffic control to analyze and improve network packet transmission efficiency
Required qualifications
- Proven experience with RHEL 10, specifically in package installation and updates
- Expertise in configuring low latency network settings for high-frequency trading
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques, including /proc/net/softnet_stat
- Ability to balance network interrupts across CPU cores and PCIe buses
- US Citizenship or Green Card required for security clearance
