Job Summary

A company is looking for an Inpatient Facility Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and abstract inpatient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes
• Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain documentation integrity for hospital billing
• Meet or exceed industry benchmarks for productivity and coding accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Certification Required: RHIA, RHIT, or CCS (AHIMA)
• At least 3 years of inpatient facility coding experience in a hospital setting
• Preferred experience with trauma centers (Level I or II) or teaching hospitals
• Technical proficiency in 3M encoder and Cerner Power Chart
• Must pass a pre-employment coding exam with 85% or higher
