Job Summary
To enhance audit consistency and coding accuracy, the remote RHIT and RHIA Certified DRG Trainer will deliver onboarding and refresher training for auditors, develop training content on medical coding, and analyze audit trends to provide targeted learning experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver onboarding training for new DRG auditors and refresher training for tenured auditors
- Develop and maintain training content related to medical coding and billing, including ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS
- Evaluate training effectiveness by analyzing coding audit errors and trends to identify root causes for targeted training
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- RHIT or RHIA certification required
- CCS or CPC certification required
- 5+ years of relevant DRG and APR DRG coding/auditing experience
- 3+ years of experience in training, facilitation, or coaching within a coding, audit, or payment integrity setting
