Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing and resolving coding issues, the part-time RHIT Certified Coding Coordinator will manage DNFC code holds, conduct second-level coding reviews, and assist with coder onboarding and education in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities
  • Review daily DNSP reports and provide education to coders based on secondary level review findings
  • Work on coding/billing editor worklists, including DRG downgrade reviews and appeal writing
  • Support onboarding of new coding staff and conduct system training and prebill audit reviews
Required qualifications
  • 3-5 years of acute hospital coding experience
  • Associate's degree in Health Information Management
  • RHIT or CCS certification
  • Skilled knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to analyze coding-related reports and take action
