RHIT Licensed Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

Assisting with second level coding reviews, the full-time remote RHIT Licensed Coding Coordinator will code diagnoses and procedures for inpatient accounts, provide education to coders, and support the coding department with inquiries and reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Performs second level coder reviews on accounts returned from audits and coding editors
• Educates coders on correct coding practices based on review findings
• Codes inpatient accounts as needed and assists with coding inquiries and management of DNFC goals

Required qualifications

• Associates Degree in Health Information Management
• RHIT or CCS certification
• 3-5 years of acute hospital coding experience
• Skilled in MS Office suite
• Ability to analyze coding-related reports and take action
