Job Summary

To support the Rhode Island workload, a fully remote Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer will develop construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools and performing engineering calculations after an initial period of in-office training.

Key responsibilities
  • Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, focusing on programmatic work
  • Ensure compliance with quality control, safety practices, and maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis and coordination of protective devices, while facilitating permit and Right-of-Way acquisition
Required qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering with relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications based on experience
  • Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred
  • Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
  • Experience in distribution design projects involving medium voltage switchgear and distribution automation
  • Proven ability to develop civil and electrical packages in dense urban environments
