Job Summary
To support the Rhode Island workload, a fully remote Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer will develop construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software and engineering calculations after an initial period of in-office training.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
- Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices while adhering to project scope, schedule, and budget
- Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis and coordination of protective devices
Required qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering with relevant experience or equivalent education and experience combination
- Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred
- Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
- Experience in distribution design projects, including medium voltage switchgear and distribution automation
- Knowledge of civil and electrical package development in urban environments
