Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer, the full-time position will focus on developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools, while primarily working remotely after an initial training period in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground distribution systems
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, and budget
• Facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, and prepare forestry trimming requests

Required qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant field with varying experience levels depending on the position
• Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus
• Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
• Experience in distribution design projects, including medium voltage switchgear and voltage conversion
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
