Job Summary
Seeking a Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer, the full-time remote position will involve developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools and ensuring compliance with project standards after an initial training period in the office.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, focusing on programmatic work
- Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis, fault currents, and coordination of protective devices
- Facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, prepare forestry trimming requests, and advocate for customer needs
Required qualifications
- BS degree in engineering with relevant experience or equivalent qualifications based on experience levels
- Familiarity with ESRI, AutoCAD, GIS, and pole loading software
- Experience in distribution design projects involving medium voltage switchgear and voltage conversion
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
- Experience in developing civil and electrical packages in urban environments
