Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

To support electric distribution projects, a fully remote Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer will develop construction work packages, perform engineering calculations, and manage project compliance after an initial in-office training period.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
• Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis and fault current assessments
• Facilitate permit acquisition and customer advocacy for project easements and contributions

Required qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or relevant field with varying experience levels based on position
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, ESRI, and GIS software
• Experience with pole loading software and SAP
• Knowledge of distribution design projects, including medium voltage switchgear and automation
• Experience in developing civil and electrical packages for urban environments
