Job Summary
To support electric distribution projects, the full-time Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer will develop construction work packages, perform engineering calculations, and manage project compliance while working remotely after initial in-office training.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
- Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis and fault current assessments
- Facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, and prepare cost estimates and BOMs
Required qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering with relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
- Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
- Experience in distribution design projects involving medium voltage switchgear
- Knowledge of NESC and electrical power calculations
