Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

To support electric distribution projects, the full-time Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer will develop construction work packages, perform engineering calculations, and manage project compliance while working remotely after initial in-office training.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
• Perform engineering calculations, including structural analysis and fault current assessments
• Facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, and prepare cost estimates and BOMs

Required qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering with relevant experience or equivalent qualifications
• Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
• Experience in distribution design projects involving medium voltage switchgear
• Knowledge of NESC and electrical power calculations
