Job Summary
Seeking a Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer, the full-time remote position will involve developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools, and performing engineering calculations, with a requirement for in-office training and monthly visits.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop construction work packages for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems
- Ensure compliance with quality control, project scope, schedule, and budget
- Perform engineering calculations related to structural analysis, fault currents, and protective device coordination
Required qualifications
- BS degree with 0-1 years of experience, or BA/AS degree with 2 years relevant experience, or HS diploma with 6 years of experience for Level 1; Level 2 requires BS degree + 2 years experience or equivalent
- Familiarity with ESRI, AutoCAD, GIS, and Pole Loading software
- Experience in distribution design projects involving medium voltage switchgear and voltage conversion
- Knowledge of civil and electrical package development in urban environments
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
