Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer, the full-time remote position will involve developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools and engineering calculations, while requiring monthly in-office attendance after initial training.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
• Ensure compliance with quality control, project scope, schedule, and budget
• Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis, fault currents, and protective device coordination

Required qualifications

• BS degree with 0-1 years of experience, or BA/AS degree with 2 years relevant experience, or HS diploma with 6 years of experience for Level 1
• BS degree with 2 years relevant experience, or BA/AS degree with 4 years relevant experience, or MS degree with 2 years relevant experience, or HS diploma with 8 years of experience for Level 2
• Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is preferred
• Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP is beneficial
• Experience in distribution design projects, including medium voltage switchgear and voltage conversion projects
