Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a Rhode Island Licensed Distribution Engineer, the full-time position will involve developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems, utilizing various software tools, and requires occasional in-office presence after initial training.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop construction work packages for electrical overhead and underground distribution systems
• Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis and coordination of protective devices
• Facilitate permit acquisition and customer advocacy related to easements and project costs

Required qualifications

• BS degree with relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Familiarity with pole loading software and SAP
• Experience in distribution design projects, including medium voltage switchgear
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
