Rhode Island Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary

To support a growing mental health initiative in schools, the part-time Rhode Island Licensed Mental Health Therapist will provide teletherapy and mental health assessments to PreK-12 students and school staff, collaborating with educational professionals to enhance mental health support systems in a fully remote contract position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and teletherapy to students and school staff in partner districts
• Participate in case discussions with team members and support transitions to community care providers
• Build collaborative relationships with school leadership and staff to address student mental health needs

Required qualifications

• Active Rhode Island license to deliver mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD)
• At least two years of experience delivering mental health services to children and youth via telehealth
• Experience with therapeutic modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or motivational interviewing
• Access to reliable, high-speed internet
• Availability to provide services during and after school hours, including evenings and Saturdays
