Job Summary
To support a growing virtual oncology practice, the remote Rhode Island Licensed Oncology Nurse Practitioner will lead clinical decision-making for cancer patients, providing evidence-based care, symptom management, and behavioral health support while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Provide virtual patient care on demand, including assessments, medication prescriptions, and communication with other healthcare providers
- Serve as an escalation partner for the care team, assisting with complex cases via phone, text, or video
- Support the broader care team's capacity by handling panel reviews, documentation, and other clinical tasks
Required qualifications
- Active NP or PA with at least 4 years of direct clinical care experience, specifically in oncology
- Oncology Nursing Society certification and experience with value-based care or in-home care are preferred
- Rhode Island licensure or application in progress; willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states is required
- Comfortable using technology for patient care via video and phone
- Experience in building or launching new programs and adaptability to changing processes
