Job Summary
To support patient access to medications, the remote Rhode Island Licensed Pharmacy Technician will facilitate medication approvals, assist with insurance claims, and secure financial assistance while collaborating with healthcare providers and patients.
Key responsibilities
- Communicate with insurance companies to facilitate medication approvals and assist patients with pharmacy insurance claims
- Navigate pharmacy operating systems to process refills, input data, and develop follow-up action plans
- Document patient communications and financial assistance needs while participating in process improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Active State of Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician license
- PTCB or NHA national certification
- Commitment to obtaining any additional required licensure within a mutually agreed-upon timeframe
