Risk Adjustment Educator (CRC Required)

Job Summary

To support the growth of risk adjustment capabilities, the full-time Risk Adjustment Documentation & Coding Educator (CRC Required) will conduct training and education programs for providers, focusing on coding and documentation improvement in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct training for individual and large provider groups on risk adjustment documentation and coding guidelines, primarily using the HCC Risk Adjustment model
• Perform comprehensive medical record audits to ensure compliance with CMS documentation requirements and identify areas for improvement
• Analyze coding performance indicators and claims data to identify gaps in care and develop targeted training initiatives

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in coding and documentation
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) required
• Extensive knowledge of CMS and AMA documentation and coding guidelines
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records, and related software
• A valid unrestricted driver's license and a reliable vehicle
