Risk Management Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Overseeing the coders and auditors within the Risk Management and Population Health area, the full-time Risk Management Coding Specialist will manage daily operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and drive quality improvement initiatives in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee coders and auditors within the Risk Management and Population Health area
• Develop ongoing quality assessment activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and governmental requirements
• Manage daily operations, customer services, and human resources within the Health Information Management Department

Required qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) credential required
• High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience and 1 year of leadership experience, or an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience and 1 year of leadership experience, or 4 years of applicable experience with 1 year of leadership experience
• Licensure required relevant to the state in which work is performed
