Job Summary
To support federal clients, the fully remote Risk Management Technician will track Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts, conduct system assessments to identify vulnerabilities, and provide weekly status updates while managing eMASS packages.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate assessments of information systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and risks
- Ensure compliance with the VA A&A process to maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) for assigned systems
- Provide weekly status updates and support for eMASS package management
Required qualifications
- Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) controls analysis, testing, and risk assessments
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37, and other VA Risk Management policies
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. with a permanent residence in the US for at least the last 3 consecutive years
