Job Summary
Tracking efforts related to Assessment & Authorization (A&A) for a federal customer, the fully remote Risk Management Technician will plan and coordinate assessments of information systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Track A&A efforts to obtain and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO) for assigned information systems, devices, and networks
- Conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and security requirements in accordance with the VA A&A process
- Provide weekly status updates and support work in eMASS packages while being available for extended core hours on a rotating schedule
Required qualifications
- Familiarity with Information Assurance (IA) controls analysis, testing, and risk assessments
- Experience with vulnerability scanning and assessment tools
- Ability to manage multi-discipline triage calls and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and 800-37, and other VA Risk Management policies
- High school diploma or GED
