Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the full-time salaried Risk Manager (California Licensed) will perform independent risk assessments for high-value properties, analyze risk exposure, and recommend loss prevention strategies while working remotely in California.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of complex property conditions, evaluating risk exposure across various regions and construction types
- Analyze findings to assess loss probability and severity, providing actionable recommendations to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with underwriting and internal teams to support risk selection and business decisions based on property-specific evaluations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant field experience is highly valued
- 3+ years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance carrier or in a related insurance role
- Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in high-value home construction, skilled trades, home inspection, or appraisal
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in complex situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
