Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Risk Manager (P&C Insurance) will perform independent risk assessments of complex property exposures, support underwriting and loss prevention strategies, and communicate findings and recommendations to members regarding risk factors in their homes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments by evaluating diverse property conditions and environmental factors
- Analyze findings to assess loss probability and severity, providing appropriate recommendations for risk mitigation
- Collaborate with underwriting and internal stakeholders to enhance risk selection and inform business decisions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, with relevant field experience highly valued
- 3+ years of experience as a Risk Manager at an insurance carrier or in a related insurance role
- Alternatively, 5+ years of experience in high-value home construction or related skilled trades
- Demonstrated ability to apply independent judgment and discretion in complex situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
