Risk Operations Manager

Job Summary

Focused on protecting the integrity of the travel marketplace, the full-time remote Risk Operations Manager will manage fraud and risk strategies across hotel and flight transactions, ensuring a balance between risk mitigation and conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Prevent fraud and abuse risk across the travel marketplace, focusing on hotel and flight transactions
• Design and evolve risk strategies throughout the transaction lifecycle, balancing fraud prevention, conversion, and customer experience
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of risk analysts, fostering strong ownership and analytical rigor

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fraud, risk, or payments, ideally within high-scale eCommerce or travel environments
• Proven experience operating in complex transaction ecosystems such as marketplaces or payment processors
• 2+ years of people management experience with a track record of building strong teams
• Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using SQL and/or BI tools
• Deep understanding of card-not-present fraud, chargebacks, and customer abuse patterns
