Risk Policy Counsel

Job Summary

Operating remotely, the full-time salaried Risk Policy Counsel will lead complex investigative research, perform legal analysis across high-risk areas, and serve as a subject-matter expert to support internal teams and high-profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth investigative research for client deliverables and intelligence reports
• Perform comprehensive legal and regulatory research, providing final risk decisions for clients
• Design and maintain internal knowledge bases, tracking regulatory developments and integrating insights into team resources

Required qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in research, legal compliance, risk operations, or intelligence
• J.D. or equivalent degree, and/or active Bar membership (or eligibility for house counsel admission)
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Confluence, and Microsoft Excel/Sheets
• Experience with traditional financial/fintech regulations or compliance within regulated industries preferred
