Risk Policy Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Risk Policy Specialist will lead investigative research initiatives, provide legal analysis on high-risk subjects, and serve as a subject-matter expert while advising internal teams and high-profile clients on regulatory topics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead in-depth investigative research to support client deliverables and intelligence reports
• Perform comprehensive legal and regulatory research across various high-risk areas and provide final risk decisions for clients
• Act as a subject-matter expert for payments-related risk and mentor junior researchers and analysts

Required qualifications

• Typically 4+ years of experience in research, legal compliance, risk operations, or a related field
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor complex writing for diverse audiences
• Proficiency with tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel/Sheets, and research or monitoring platforms
• Experience with SQL, data visualization tools, or Python is preferred
• Familiarity with traditional financial/fintech regulations and compliance within regulated industries
